Business Phone System Greetings

The greeting your Inter-Tel business phone system plays is often the first thing a customer hears when they call in. We want our greetings to sound great, don’t we? System greetings often need to change for a variety of reasons. Whether it’s a holiday or you just want to change it up, here are the instructions to change the greeting.
- Go to any phone
- Press the VMail key or press 299
- Press * 999 (to access the admin mailbox)
- Press 0000 # (password for admin mailbox)
- Press 9 (system admin features)
- Press 3 (recording options)
- Press 1 (custom recordings)
- Select the greeting number that you would like to re-record and listen to the greeting.
- The day greeting is generally 003 and night greeting is generally 004 but if you’re not sure you can give us a call and we’ll let you know.
- Record new greeting and press # and it will play it back to you.
- Press # to save the greeting
- Press “3” to erase and re-record, if needed. Follow prompts to save the greeting
- Exit from the system by pressing *****.
That’s all there is to it! The only other thing you need to provide is the voice. If you need us to do it, no problem, we can do it for you. We have a team of people with lovely greeting voices!
